Capabilities

Paperboard cartons with controlled finishing.

Straight tuck end (STE)

Top and bottom tuck flaps hinge from the same panel. Both ends open from the same side of the carton.

Reverse tuck end (RTE)

Top and bottom tuck flaps hinge from opposite panels. The opposing tuck directions distinguish this structure; packing-line compatibility needs review.

Auto-bottom / crash-lock

Pre-glued bottom panels open into position as the carton is squared. The underside view shows the bottom closure; confirm load and assembly with a sample.

Paperboard sleeve and tray

An inner paperboard tray slides out of a separate outer sleeve. This is a folding-carton construction, not a wrapped rigid drawer box.

Window carton

A die-cut opening reveals the product. Optional transparent film and the underlying closure style are specified separately.

Hang-tab carton

An extended panel with a hanging slot supports retail peg display. Confirm hook fit, product weight and board strength.

Product renderings illustrate the carton styles. Final flap geometry, glue areas, dimensions and locking details are confirmed through engineering drawings and physical samples.

SBS (Solid Bleached Sulphate)

White, clay-coated paperboard. Clean printing surface, standard for cosmetics and fragrance.

Kraft board

Natural brown fibre texture. Popular for artisanal and eco-forward brands.

C1S/C2S

Coated one side or two sides. Controls gloss, matte and print reproduction.

Choose the carton closure for your filling process.

Tuck-end carton

A paperboard carton with closing tabs can suit retail products. Check tab access, repeated opening and clearance around the product; a tuck tab is not the same construction as a rigid magnetic lid.

Glued or crash-lock bottom

Compare assembly steps and the base support required by the packed product. An automatic-bottom name does not establish a safe load rating; review the actual board, glue areas and filled sample.

Window or shaped carton

A window can expose the product, while a sleeve or pillow format changes shelf presentation. Review weakened panel areas, film attachment and handling before choosing the shape.

What to send for a quote

Product dimensions in mm, weight, quantity by size or design, destination, intended use and artwork or reference images. Tell us your preferred material and finish—or ask for a recommendation.

Price depends on the confirmed specification, tooling and quantity. Sample/tooling charges and freight should be identified separately in the formal quotation.

What to approve in a sample

Review fold cracking, tab engagement, glue seams, print registration and packing access. For food packaging, identify whether contact is direct or through an inner pack and confirm requirements for the destination and intended use.

What is a folding carton?+

A folding carton is a printed, die-cut box made from a single sheet of paperboard (typically 0.3–0.6mm). It ships flat and is erected during packing. Folding cartons are the standard choice for retail packaging, cosmetics, skincare and e-commerce.

How does a folding carton differ from a rigid box?+

A folding carton is lighter, ships flat and is more space-efficient for storage and freight. A rigid box is thicker, holds its shape and feels more premium. Folding cartons suit high-volume retail; rigid boxes suit gifting and presentation.

What finishes are available for folding cartons?+

Foil stamping, embossing, debossing, spot UV, matte and gloss lamination, textured papers and controlled Pantone color matching. The clay-coated surface of SBS paperboard supports sharp offset printing.

What is the MOQ for custom folding cartons?+

The minimum order quantity for custom folding cartons is 1,000 pieces per design. The final specification and quotation depend on the die, printing and finishing requirements.

The right closure

Compare tuck-end and other appropriate carton closures. Check that the tongue, dust flaps and glue seam close cleanly around the product.

Paperboard and print

Specify stock and finish together. Review white point, ink appearance, grain direction and how the printed surface behaves at scored folds.

Windows and visibility

Position a window to show the intended product feature while leaving enough surrounding board. Confirm film attachment and local material-separation requirements.

Space inside

Measure the complete product including cap, label and projections. Allow for the selected insert and confirm that the carton closes without pressure.

Artwork that stays readable

Place small text, ingredient panels and barcodes away from folds and glue areas. Check a printed proof at actual size.

Delivery and assembly

Agree whether cartons arrive flat or assembled. Include packing sequence, inner protection and the outer shipping carton in the brief.
